Business Description

The Ted Knight Orchestra is a Florida wedding and party band with four horns and a big band sound. The band is available to play throughout the southeastern U.S. The mix starts with jazz, blues and standards, adding pop, rock and variety as needed. Music is played by real instruments, without recorded backgrounds.

The orchestra includes trumpet, trombone, and two saxes, seven to twelve pieces in all. Ted Knight leads on keyboard and vocals, and additional vocalists are available. The group also performs as The World's Smallest Big Band, with two horns instead of four.

Then there's The Ted Knight Big Band, a true big band with 14 to 20 pieces. Ted's big band has played for weddings at Saddlebrook Resort near Tampa and at the Boca Raton Resort and Club. His orchestra has played at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, the Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, and at Sanibel Harbor Resort. The World's Smallest Big Band has played for weddings at a waterfront home in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and at a private airstrip home in Jupiter, Florida.
